Local residents in Erskine are being encouraged to get involved in their community council.

Community councils act as a focal point for local activity and share the views of residents with organisations that deliver services in the area, including the council, NHS and Police Scotland.

The closing date for nominations is Sunday 12th December 2025, and nomination forms can be requested by emailing erskineccsecretary@gmail.com
.

Renfrewshire Council Depute Leader Jacqueline Cameron said:
“As a council, we want to harness the knowledge of local people, so it’s important that our community councils are established and able to put forward the views of residents.

“They give local people a voice and the opportunity to make changes to where they live, so if you would like to make a positive difference to your local area, then please send your nomination form in before the deadline.”

Nomination forms must be fully completed and include a proposer and seconder who are residents of the area and listed on the Voters’ Roll.

Forms that are incomplete, unsigned, missing a valid proposer or seconder, or submitted after the deadline cannot be accepted.
