Staff at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland have delivered a festive boost to The Renfrewshire Toy Bank after collecting 70 gift bags filled with toys for local children this Christmas.

It marks the third year the housebuilder has supported the charity, with staff across its regional office in Paisley and its developments in the west of Scotland taking part. Alongside the gift bags, employees also donated money to help the charity fulfil even more requests for support.

The volunteer-run organisation has seen demand rise sharply this year. It has already responded to requests for gifts for 3,200 children, with hundreds more still to be met.

Lauren Roy-Sutherland from The Renfrewshire Toy Bank said the support came at a vital time.

She said: “Once again, we are delighted to have the support of Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, and their gifts have added a great boost to the generous donations that we’ve had from so many other local businesses and individuals. Every donation like this really matters to us.”

Kara Newman, who co-ordinated the collection for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland, added: “Being able to work with local groups and charities is important to us, and I’m proud of our team for gathering such a large collection of gifts. We know the donations will bring festive cheer to children across the area, and we’d like to thank the volunteers for the incredible work they do.”
