A Paisley-based charity which supports care experienced young people into hairdressing careers has been shortlisted for a national award.

Haus Of Seisay has been named as a finalist in the Education Excellence category at the Official UK Hair and Beauty Awards.

The charity was founded in 2022 by adoptive parents Thomas and Tony Seisay. It aims to help care experienced young people build careers in the hair industry through mentoring, training and confidence-building support.

The Education Excellence category recognises organisations making a major contribution to learning, mentoring and skills development within the hair and beauty sector.

Thomas Seisay, founder of Haus Of Seisay Charity, said: “We are deeply honoured to be shortlisted for the Education Excellence award on such a respected national platform.

“To represent Paisley at the Official UK Hair and Beauty Awards is a proud moment for our organisation.

“From the outset, our mission has been to remove barriers for care experienced young people and create genuine opportunities through education, mentorship, and personal development within the hair industry.”

The charity said the nomination recognises its work in helping young people gain practical skills, industry experience and confidence to move into long-term employment.

The Official UK Hair and Beauty Awards celebrate professionals, organisations and brands across the UK hair and beauty industry.

Haus Of Seisay said it is looking forward to attending the awards ceremony alongside others from across the sector.
