A cannabis cultivation with an estimated street value of around £102,000 has been recovered in Paisley.Police Scotland said officers acting on intelligence executed a search warrant in the McKerrell Street area at around 4.30pm on Tuesday 26th May.

Around 170 cannabis plants were recovered.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the recovery. He was due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Wednesday 27th May 2026.

Detective Superintendent Steven Elliot said: “This was a significant recovery which demonstrates our continued commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.

“We remain committed to disrupting the sale and supply of illegal drugs in our communities.

“Anyone with concerns about drugs in their area can contact Police Scotland on 101 or provide information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
