A weekend celebrating gothic culture, alternative crafts and live entertainment is set to take place in Paisley later this month.

The Summer Goth Market will be held at Browns Lane Creative Hub on Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, bringing together traders, performers and visitors for two days of shopping, music and family-friendly entertainment.

Organised by Icey Promotions, the event builds on previous gothic-themed markets held in Paisley and will feature 28 vendors across the weekend offering everything from gothic artwork and jewellery to handmade crafts and clothing.

Visitors will also be able to browse Browns Lane’s indoor market while enjoying a programme of live entertainment, food and drink.

The event will feature live music from John the Hat and cabaret performances from Lady Hart, alongside two bars serving a range of drinks.

Food stalls will offer ice cream, candy floss and fresh popcorn throughout the weekend.

Organisers say all profits from table rentals will support a free-to-access pet food bank. Free books and toys will also be available for children while stocks last.

Jamie McDermid, owner of Icey Promotions, said: “We are excited to build on the success of our Goth Night Market by launching our first ever Summer Goth Market.

“The combination of carefully curated vendors and live entertainment will make for a weekend not to be missed.”

The event is open to all ages, although children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

The Summer Goth Market will run from 1pm until 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Entry is free, although visitors are encouraged to make a £1 donation on arrival.
