Residents across Renfrewshire are being advised that wood cannot currently be taken to any household waste recycling centre in the area.

The temporary restriction has been put in place due to what the council describes as a contractor issue.

A notice published on Renfrewshire Council’s household waste recycling centres webpage states: “You cannot bring any wood to our recycling centres right now.”

It adds: “This is a temporary restriction due to a contractor issue. You will be able to bring wood to our recycling centres again once we have removed this notice, most likely in a few days.”

The restriction applies to all household waste recycling centres in Renfrewshire.

Residents planning a trip to a recycling centre are being asked to check the latest information before travelling.

Opening hours: All centres are open seven days a week from 8am to 6pm. Last entry is 5.45pm.
