A Linwood content creator has built an online audience of more than 125,000 followers by creating cinematic videos of high-performance cars after teaching himself video editing, music production and coding.

Posting under the name GOAT MILES, the anonymous creator shares dramatic edits of supercars on TikTok.

His videos have attracted more than 16 million views, 2.4 million likes and 161,000 shares over the past year.

GOAT MILES started creating content in 2024 and said the account’s growth had been rapid from the beginning.

He told Renfrewshire News he started creating cinematic videos of cars as a hobby before developing his own distinctive style.

He said: “I started making car edit content a while back, just experimenting with video editing as a hobby. Over time I taught myself more advanced editing techniques, leaning into a cinematic, dark aesthetic which became my signature style.

“Alongside the edits I’m completely self-taught in video editing, music production and coding, building everything from scratch through trial and error.”

His first viral video also became his biggest. The cinematic edit of a Lamborghini Huracan surrounded by several supercars has been viewed 9.9 million times.

The video was also reposted by car culture page HYPEWHIP, which has more than eight million Instagram followers.

He recalled: “My first viral video was also my biggest — a cinematic car edit featuring a Lamborghini Huracan surrounded by multiple supercars. It reached 9.9 million views and was reposted by HYPEWHIP, a major car culture page with over 8 million Instagram followers, who called it the best car edit. That moment confirmed I was onto something.”

The 27-year-old is also releasing his own music.

His debut single, Fast Lane Pressure, is now available on Spotify, Apple Music and other streaming platforms.

He added: “More recently I started releasing my own music under the same GOAT MILES name, with my debut single Fast Lane Pressure now out on Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms.

“Going forward I’m focused on releasing more music and continuing to grow the brand across both video and audio.”

Analytics shared with Renfrewshire News show the account has gained around 48,000 followers over the past year, reaching a total of 125,482 followers.

The account also recorded around 13 million viewers during the same period, with 9.3 million of them being new viewers.

Some of his videos take more than 14 hours to complete.

He explained: “It completely depends on the edit. Some take over 14 hours to complete, and none of them take less than an hour. Every video is crafted carefully — it’s never just a quick clip thrown together.”

Although no car manufacturers have contacted him directly, he said musicians regularly ask to have their music featured in his videos.

He said: “No car brands have reached out directly, but I’ve had a lot of musicians and artists contact me wanting their music used in my edits, which I find really interesting. My visuals attract musicians looking for the right cinematic feel.”

Asked why he focuses on cars, he said: “I just love cars. They’re beautiful, magnificent, and they’re part of history. That passion comes through naturally in the edits.”

Despite the growing audience, he plans to remain anonymous.

He said: “I prefer to keep my face and identity anonymous publicly as part of the GOAT MILES brand.”

Asked whether living in Linwood influences his work, he said: “Honestly, not really. My inspiration comes more from the global car culture community than my immediate surroundings.”

Explaining the meaning behind the GOAT MILES name, he said: “I also started out as Goat Edits, purely focused on car content. But as I got deeper into music production and coding, I wanted a name that reflected something bigger. I came up with GOAT MILES — GOAT stands for Greatest Of All Time, and Miles represents a journey or experience. So together it means Greatest Journey Of All Time. Most people don’t know that, but it’s the foundation everything is built on.”

Looking to the future, he said: “Reaching 1 million followers on TikTok is a goal I won’t stop until I achieve. Beyond that, I’m working on releasing more music under GOAT MILES and I’m also developing my own app which I believe has the potential to reach millions of downloads — that’s something I’m focused on making perfect. Music, content and coding are all part of the same journey for me.”
