A man will stand trial accused of attempting to murder a woman in Paisley.
Robert Wright, 32, allegedly assaulted Kirsty-Ann Adam in the town’s Mill Street on 18th September 2025.
Court papers state Wright seized hold of her neck and pushed her, causing her to fall onto a sofa.
It is alleged Wright repeatedly punched Miss Adam on the head, restrained her and compressed her neck, restricting her breathing.
Miss Adam is then said to have repeatedly lost consciousness.
Wright is further alleged to have uttered threats of violence, bitten Miss Adam on the cheek and pushed her down a flight of stairs.
The indictment states this was to her injury, permanent disfigurement, danger of life and attempted murder.
Wright denies the allegation and will stand trial for four days at the High Court in Edinburgh in June next year.
