A man has been arrested after a reported break-in at a property in Paisley.
Police were called to Green Road at around 1.40pm on Thursday, 9th July, following a report of a break-in.
The incident prompted a large police response in the Ferguslie area. Officers were seen around the footpath and railway bridge linking Ferguslie Park Avenue with Millarston Drive, with multiple police vehicles and a police helicopter in attendance.
Witnesses reported that officers were searching the area around the railway embankment and footpaths after a man was believed to have fled from Green Road into nearby open ground. Residents described what appeared to be a manhunt extending into Ferguslie. Police Scotland has not described the operation as a manhunt.
