MJC LAW has marked its 10th anniversary with a celebration, bringing together family, friends, colleagues, clients and long-standing professional connections to reflect on the firm’s first decade.
The event was held at the Lynnhurst Hotel in Johnstone and celebrated the journey of the Paisley law firm since it was founded by solicitor Matthew Coffield in 2016. Guests enjoyed an evening of conversation, live music and dancing to mark the milestone.
The Provost of Renfrewshire was among those who attended, reflecting what the firm described as a valued relationship built through a shared commitment to the local community.
Speaking during the evening, Matthew said: “Tonight is not just about a company being 10 years old. Tonight is a celebration of a journey that started with a vision that required a great deal of hard work, enthusiasm and late nights to try and create something special.
“Ten years ago, I took a gamble on an idea and on myself, and tonight’s casino theme is no coincidence.”
Over the past 10 years, MJC LAW has grown from a newly established practice into an award-winning firm. During his speech, Matthew described being named High Street Firm of the Year at the Herald Law Awards as “the jewel in the crown” of the firm’s first decade.
The firm said it has remained committed to improving access to justice, supporting local charities and building trusted relationships with clients and the wider community since it was founded in 2016.
Matthew also paid tribute to the firm’s team.
He said: “There is nothing that makes me happier and more proud than being in the office and seeing all of you do what you do so well.
“I’m proud of every single member of the team.”
Bringing his speech to a close, he thanked everyone who had been part of MJC LAW’s journey.
He said: “Here’s to the last 10 years. Here’s to a bright and exciting future.”
