Families across Renfrewshire are being invited to a free community fun day in Linwood this weekend, with traditional games, cultural food, music and activities for all ages.
The YI Go for Gold event will take place on Saturday, 1st August, from 12pm until 3pm, at The YI Hub, 145 Brediland Road, Mossedge Village, Linwood, PA3 3RX.
The free event will feature an old-fashioned sports day with sack races, three-legged races, tug of war, egg and spoon races and other games.
Visitors can also enjoy cultural foods celebrating flavours from across the Commonwealth, while music and bouncy castles will provide entertainment throughout the afternoon.
The event is being organised by Youth Inspired, a multi-disciplinary team that supports the mental health and emotional wellbeing of children, young people and their families.
Based at The YI Hub in Mossedge Village, the organisation brings together BACP and COSCA registered psychotherapists, counsellors, coaches, youth workers, and recovery and wellbeing practitioners. It says it is committed to providing a safe place for families, children and young people, where everyone is heard, valued, seen and respected.
The event is free to attend and is open to people of all ages.
