Thistle Primary School is preparing to register its first pupils in November ahead of welcoming children in August 2027.
A learning estate update presented to Renfrewshire Council’s Education and Children’s Services Policy Board on Thursday, 29th October 2026 says construction remains on track for completion in summer 2027.
Registration is being planned alongside the wider Renfrewshire registration window.
The report says the building’s structure is fully formed and a large proportion of the external components are complete.
Internal fitting-out work has started, while construction of a full-size all-weather pitch and external landscaping is also underway.
Officers are continuing to plan for the number of pupils expected to attend.
The update also reports progress at Park Mains High School, where the extension is on track for completion in August 2027.
Summer improvements there included a larger kitchen, more dining space, a new library and learning resource, new food technology facilities and an extended bus loop.
The structural frames and stairs for the new teaching annex and PE block are complete, with work continuing towards making the buildings wind and watertight in early 2027.
