Burns Howff on Fulbar Street in Renfrew has been put on the market

A well-known Renfrew pub has been put on the market with an asking price of offers over £275,000.

Specialist business property adviser Christie & Co has been instructed to market Burns Howff on Fulbar Street in Renfrew. The release was issued on 20th February 2026.

The traditional community pub is described as a wet-led venue, meaning it mainly sells drinks rather than food. It regularly shows live sport and hosts local pool teams. There is also a lounge available for private hire.

The property sits in the town centre, a short walk from Renfrew Town Hall and the Canal Street area. It also has transport links to Glasgow and Paisley.

As well as the main pub, the building includes three flats on the first floor. These consist of a studio flat, a one-bedroom flat and a two-bedroom flat. The flats provide additional rental income.

The current owner, Gayle Brown, is selling the business after around 15 years and is now looking to retire.

Tony Spence, Associate Director – Hospitality at Christie & Co, who is managing the sale, said: “We are delighted to bring the Burns Howff to the market, situated in Renfrew. This fantastic business trades well and benefits from consistent trade from a loyal and local clientele. The rented accommodation on the first floor also provides a steady income. Please get in touch for further details.”

Christie & Co has listed the property as freehold, meaning the building and business are being sold together.
