A man was taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle in Johnstone on Sunday night.
The incident happened on High Street at around 8.20pm on Sunday, 1st March 2026.
Police tape blocked access on the High Street outside Lidl and up to the junction with Dimity Street and Walkinshaw Street.
The road was closed between 8.20pm and 4am while enquiries were carried out. Vehicles were redirected around surrounding areas during that time.
The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His condition is currently unknown.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.20pm on Sunday, 1st March, 2026 police received a report of a man having been struck by a vehicle in High Street, Johnstone.
“The male pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
