A man caught in a £640,000 cocaine bust is behind bars.
Steven Kirk, 29, was snared following a raid at his flat in Paisley on 8th October last year.
Police initially discovered five taped blocks of cocaine on the living room floor.
Three were marked “M and M” and the other two “Audi”.
Other hauls of the class A drug were found in the flat, along with a large amount of drug-related equipment.
These included scales, mixing bowls, a thermometer, gloves, bags and what was described as a “Batman-symbol plate”, as well as similar items with “white powder residue”.
Almost £4,000 in cash was seized from under a table and from a TV unit drawer.
Prosecutor David Fisken said the total amount of cocaine found was just under eight kilograms.
The potential value was £637,440.
First offender Kirk yesterday pled guilty at the High Court in Glasgow to being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
He had been on bail but was remanded in custody by Judge William Gallacher.
The judge told Kirk: “It is inevitable the court will impose upon you a significant penalty.”
Sentencing was adjourned until October.
