Still Game actor Jane McCarry will perform at a carol concert in Paisley Abbey next month to raise money for SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health).
Carols by Candlelight takes place on Wednesday 25th November. All funds raised will support the charity and its community-based mental health services.
McCarry, who plays Isa Drennan in Still Game, will be joined by singer Natalie James, The City of Glasgow Chorus and Theatre School Scotland.
SAMH supports tens of thousands of people each year. The charity has longstanding ties to Paisley, where its founder, psychiatrist and mental health advocate Dr Kate Fraser, established it in 1923.
Singer Natalie James said: “I’m absolutely delighted to be performing at Carols by Candlelight this Christmas. It promises to be a really special evening, bringing people together through music while supporting such an important cause. I’m honoured to be part of it and can’t wait to share in what I know will be a beautiful and memorable night.”
Hazel McIlwraith, SAMH’s Director of Fundraising and Major Appeal, said: “This is such a special event for SAMH, held in the birthplace of our founder. From the brilliant performers to the stunning setting, Carols by Candlelight is the perfect way to welcome in the festive season. We look forward to seeing you there!”
Tickets cost £15, with children’s and concession prices available. All proceeds will go to SAMH.
