Frasers Plus Braehead has teamed up with Accord Hospice to host a 3km festive walk to raise money for local patients and their families.
The first Festive Footsteps event will take place on Sunday 15th November from 8.30am. Entry costs £8 per child, with adults taking part free. All proceeds will go directly to the hospice.
The event is designed for children and their families but is open to all ages. It will begin with an elf-led warm-up before participants walk around Frasers Plus Braehead.
The route will feature festive music, singing, dancing and photo opportunities. Each participant will receive a Santa hat and race number, followed by a commemorative medal and selection box at the finish.
Part of the route is outdoors, so participants are encouraged to dress warmly and prepare for the weather.
Families will also receive a sponsorship form if they wish to collect extra donations from family and friends.
Beth Ferguson, of Accord Hospice, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Frasers Plus Braehead for our first Festive Footsteps through Braehead. Every penny raised will help Accord Hospice continue providing compassionate care and support to people living with life-limiting illness, as well as their families and loved ones. We can’t wait to see the community come together, embrace the festive spirit and make a meaningful difference.”
Ashley Bisland, Centre Director at Frasers Plus Braehead, said: “Festive Footsteps is all about bringing the local community together for a fun, festive morning while raising vital funds for Accord Hospice. Whether families come in Christmas jumpers, festive sparkles or simply pull on a Santa hat, we hope lots of people will join us to sing, dance and jingle their way around Frasers Plus Braehead in support of an incredibly important local cause.”
Places are limited and must be booked in advance through Accord Hospice.
