Paisley-based airline Loganair has unveiled a Poppyscotland tribute on one of its aircraft ahead of Remembrance Day.

The aircraft will operate scheduled flights across Scotland and the wider UK throughout the remembrance period, displaying the charity’s official poppy logo.

Loganair is a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant and achieved Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Status in 2023. It supports serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families.

Natalie Bush, Chief Operating Officer of Loganair, said: “We are proud to display the Poppyscotland logo on one of our aircraft as a mark of respect and remembrance for all those who have served and sacrificed in defence of our country.

“As an airline that connects communities across Scotland and the UK, we are honoured to help carry this important message in the lead-up to Remembrance Day. Our commitment to the Armed Forces community extends beyond this tribute through our support as a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, and we remain grateful for the contribution of serving personnel, veterans and military families.”

Leanne Bonner, Head of Scotland at Poppyscotland, said: “We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Loganair for this magnificent gesture. Having our poppy take to the skies is a beautiful, visible reminder that the legacy of military service lives on within our local communities.

“The funds raised through the Scottish Poppy Appeal are a lifeline, allowing us to provide critical housing, financial, employment, and mental health services. This partnership helps us honour and support the veterans and military families who rightfully deserve our unwavering backing.”

The tribute will help raise awareness of Poppyscotland’s annual campaign while paying tribute to those who have served.
