Detectives are appealing for information after a car was deliberately set on fire in Johnstone.
The incident happened at around 2.30am on Thursday 10th September 2026.
A Ford Focus was set on fire outside a property on John Lang Street.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. No injuries were reported.
Detective Constable Naomi Irving said: “Luckily, no one was injured as a result of this incident, but it could’ve been much worse and spread to other vehicles nearby.
“Enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to anyone who in the area who may have information to please come forward.
“I’d also ask that those with private CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage please review this to see if it has captured anything that could assist with our investigation.”
