Tom Arthur, MSP for Renfrewshire South has officially opened his constituency office with a little help from the Finance Secretary, Derek MacKay MSP. Tom’s office is based in the heart of Johnstone, close to local transport links for access across the area.

Derek MacKay MSP cut the ribbon to a gathering of constituents, local organisations and staff. The office has been open to constituents since mid-February, drawing plenty of attention for its central location, and is fully accessible after taking advice from Renfrewshire Access Panel. Following their assessment, the office is now equipped with a portable ramp for wheelchair or scooter access, and an induction loop to provide support for constituents with hearing loss. A bowl of water is also provided to all service dogs who pay the office a visit.

Commenting on the office opening, Tom said: “I was delighted to be joined by Derek MacKay and constituents from across Renfrewshire South for the opening of my new office in the heart of Johnstone. It was a particular pleasure to welcome representatives from local organisations, including Citizens Advice Bureau”

“Like all SNP MSPs, I am committed to putting the people I represent first by having an open and hard-working constituency office. I’d like to thank Renfrewshire Access Panel for their support in making sure that my office is accessible for all.

“Constituents are always welcome to drop by during office hours if they are any issues they would like to discuss.”
