Sean Batty was guest at the Sweets and Treats Coffee Shop on Hairst Street, Renfrew for their Macmillan coffee morning, other guests included Derek Mackay, MSP for Renfrewshire North & West and Gavin Newlands, the local MP.
Mr Mackay was delighted to support this fundraiser and was delighted to see the huge amount of support that these coffee morning received.
Mr Mackay said ” “I was delighted to go along to Sweets & Treats to join locals to raise awareness and money for Macmillian Cancer Support.
“All proceeds of tea, coffees and cakes sold were being donated to Macmillan.
“This event is Macmillan’s biggest fundraising initiative each year raising several million to assist them in providing their essential services. Most people have been touched by cancer in one way or another and many have experienced first-hand the difference that the support of Macmillan nurses and other services can make.
“I want to congratulate all the staff at Sweets and Treats for a fantastic event, and also to everyone else who organised or took part in a coffee morning.”
