Police Scotland are seeking assistance from the public after a car was driven into a park in the Spateston area of Johnstone.

The incident happened at about 11.30am on Sunday when a Blue BMW motor vehicle, similar to an X5, was reported to being driven on the grassy area of Spateston Park, Spateston Road, Johnstone.

A car, thought to be the same one, was observed entering the car park at the Spateston Inn where it drove into a parked Silver Ford Focus and a black Toyota Celica motor vehicle causing extensive damage at about 2.30pm on the same day.

Police Scotland said: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2240 of 04/06/2023. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
