Birkmyre Rugby Club are holding an Open Day for all kids from Primary 1-7 on Sunday.

As well as existing members, the club are inviting all boys and girls who are primary school age who may have an interest in rugby to go along and join in the fun – free of charge.

The Inverclyde club already have players from Renfrewshire and are inviting all primary children from Renfrewshire.

A spokesperson for the club told Renfrewshire News: “The club has a very active and successful minis section and we are keen to keep this going. No special equipment is required if you are new to this.

“A pair of rugby or football boots is great if you have them however trainers are fine as well. Other than that, shorts or joggies and a T-Shirt are fine. Just go with what the weather suggests.

“Come along and try it out and bring your friends from school.”

The event for Birkmyre minis will be held on Sunday 20th August 2023 between 11am and 1pm at 2 Broomknowe Rd, Kilmacolm PA13 4JA.
