Police Scotland are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Paisley on Sunday afternoon.

The assault happened at around 2.40pm on Sunday, 27th August, 2023 within a flat at Gallowhill Road.

A 53-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are keen to trace a man who may be responsible.

Detective Sergeant David Tomlison of CID said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing, we are carrying out door-to-door enquiries and reviewing CCTV in an effort to trace the man responsible.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw the man in the area before or after the incident. I would also appeal to any motorists or taxi drivers who have dash cam footage, you may have captured something that would assist our investigation.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 2156 of 27 August or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
