Six individuals representing the ‘Walking with Grief’ Group at ACCORD will be taking on The West Highland Way to support the organisation.

The ‘Walking with Grief’ group supports people who have experienced loss of a partner and come together to seek and give support, friendships, and to walk.

A spokesperson for Robert, Jennifer, Peter, Gillian, Jacki and Joy said: ”It seemed only fitting that we walk to raise funds for this amazing cause because of the space and support given to all of us by them.

“We are walking with hope to also remember those that we love and have lost and will be happy to honour others while we walk. We hope it helps us to remember their loved ones too and to find support and hope for the future.”

ACCORD supports over 1700 people and their families every year who are affected by life limiting illness. They provide specialist palliative and end of life care in the Hospice, the Hospital and the Community. They also offer grief counselling and bereavement support through the Renfrewshire Bereavement Network.
