Several casualties have been reported following a crash involving a car and a bus in Elderslie.
The smash, involving a red estate car and a McGill’s Bus, happened at around 1.55pm this afternoon outside Jim’s Food and Wine store on Main Road, Elderslie.
Emergency services – including the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Police Scotland, and major response units from the Scottish Ambulance Service – are currently on the scene.
Several casualties have been reported, including a male driver and female passenger in the car. A number of passengers on the bus are understood to have sustained minor injuries.
The road is currently closed both ways between the junction at Glenpatrick Road and the roundabout for Linwood Road and the A761. The roundabout itself remains open. The road through Elderslie is expected to remain closed for some time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Main Road in Elderslie is closed following a crash involving a car and a bus, which was reported at 1.55pm on Tuesday, 15th July, 2025.
“The road is closed between the junction for Glenpatrick Road and to the roundabout for Linwood Road and the A761. The roundabout is not closed. Emergency services are in attendance. Please avoid the area, if possible.”
