St Mirren supporters will get another chance to celebrate the club’s Premier Sports Cup triumph this weekend as the first-team squad and staff take part in an open-top bus parade through Paisley on Sunday.
The Buddies lifted the Premier Sports Cup for just the second time in the club’s history after a memorable 3–1 victory over Celtic at Hampden, with goals from Marcus Fraser and a Jonah Ayunga double sealing the win.
Thousands of fans turned out last weekend as the trophy was displayed at Paisley Town Hall, and the celebrations are set to continue with Sunday’s procession through the town centre.
The open-top bus parade is due to begin at around 12:30pm and is expected to last approximately one hour. The route will start on Broomlands Street before continuing via Wellmeadow Street, High Street, Storie Street, Witherspoon Street, Causeyside Street and St Mirren Street, finishing on Gauze Street. The bus will move at a slow pace along the route to allow supporters to take part in the celebrations.
The club has thanked supporters for their continued backing and encouraged as many fans as possible to turn out on Sunday afternoon to mark the historic success.

Hi, I report on all the Ferguslie Cricket Club fixtures during the cricket season and also compile articles on any other items of news concerning the club during our close season. Are you interested in taking these pieces with a view to publication? I’m not looking to attract a fee for this work, I merely want to publicise the club and make its existence better known, as we run three junior teams and a similar number of senior teams. The club finished third in the Western District Cricket Union League, the highest standard competition available for amateur clubs in the West of Scotland, in 2025, and regularly gains success in the various cup competitions open to competing teams in this area, and as recently as a year ago had three of its under 19 team representing Scotland in the World Cup for that age group, while at senior level they recently signed Ayr captain, Michael English, who made his debut for the full Scotland side, and he will be vice captain of the senior Ferguslie squad in the 2026 campaign. If you are interested in this opportunity, please feel free to contact me either on 07854 724184, or by email at bettens6@talktalk.net.
