Detectives are appealing for information after a housebreaking in Kilmacolm where items worth around £50,000 were stolen.
The incident happened between 11am on Tuesday 31st March and 2:20pm on Friday 3rd April 2026 at a property in the Gowkhouse Road area.
Entry was forced at the home, with watches, jewellery and alcohol among the items taken.
Detective Constable Jennifer Kane said: “This was a high-value theft and we are appealing to the public for assistance.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and I would ask anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident to contact us as soon as possible.
“In addition, anyone with any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash-cam footage is asked to come forward as this may be able to assist.”
Detective Kane added: “I am also asking local and online buyers and sellers of jewellery to be aware of any suspicious activity around items being sold.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1756 of 3rd April 2026. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
