Residents across Renfrewshire could enjoy some of the warmest weather of the year so far next week, with temperatures forecast to reach as high as 25C.

After a mixed start to the week, conditions are expected to improve significantly from Tuesday onwards, with sunshine and warmer temperatures forecast across the area.

Sunday is expected to remain dry with sunny intervals and temperatures reaching around 21C. Monday will be cooler and cloudier, with outbreaks of light rain possible throughout the day.

Forecasters are predicting a marked improvement from Tuesday, when temperatures could reach 24C under sunny intervals.

Warm and settled conditions are expected to continue into Wednesday before temperatures potentially peak at 25C on Thursday.

While sunshine is expected to dominate, there is also the possibility of isolated thundery showers developing later on Thursday.

The warm spell is forecast to continue into Friday, with temperatures remaining above average for the time of year before easing slightly next weekend.

If the forecast remains on track, Thursday could become one of the warmest days experienced in Renfrewshire so far this year.
