A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a series of alleged shoplifting incidents in Paisley.
Police confirmed the arrest and charge on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026.
As part of the Paisley Town Centre Exclusion Zone, the man has been given conditions preventing him from entering Paisley town centre.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
The Paisley Town Centre Exclusion Zone is a policing measure used to tackle repeat offending and anti-social behaviour in the town centre.
People who are arrested or charged with certain offences can be given conditions banning them from entering the area for a set period. The aim is to reduce crime, protect businesses, and help make the town centre safer for residents, workers and visitors.
