A man has been arrested following a two-car crash in Linwood on Tuesday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to East Avenue, near the Linwood Road roundabout by Asda, McDonald’s and Wendy’s, shortly after 4.45pm on Tuesday, 23rd June 2026.

The incident affected traffic around Linwood Road, Saturn Avenue and East Avenue, with drivers warned to expect delays.

Police Scotland has now confirmed the crash involved two cars.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a crash involving two cars on East Avenue in Linwood shortly after 4.45pm on Tuesday, 23 June, 2026.

“One driver attended hospital as a precaution.

“A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and enquiries are ongoing.”
