Renfrew Community Council is hosting a free Halloween event for families at Robertson Park on Saturday.
The afternoon will feature games, prizes, costumes, jokes, songs and tricks, with separate sessions for children of different ages.
Children aged six and under can attend from 1pm to 2pm. A session for children aged seven to 12 will run from 3pm to 4pm.
No booking is required. All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
The event is part of the community council’s work to bring more community activity into the town and give local families opportunities to come together.
Renfrew Community Council vice-chair Jan Bunch said: “We wanted to put on something really fun for families in Renfrew this Halloween and give people another reason to get out, enjoy Robertson Park and spend time together.
“We’re hoping to see the park full of little ghosts, witches, monsters, superheroes and everything in between.
“There’ll be games, prizes, costumes and plenty of Halloween fun across both sessions — and because it’s completely free, families can simply come along and get involved.
“We want Renfrew Community Council to be visible, active and bringing people together, and events like this are a great way of doing exactly that.”
Costumes are encouraged. Children are welcome to dress as witches, ghosts, vampires, superheroes, skeletons or their own Halloween creations.
