The Paisley Pirates brought the curtain down on the 2024/25 season in style this past weekend with a heartfelt End-of-Season Awards Night, celebrating a year of hard work, growth, and true Pirate passion.
Held at the David Lloyd Club in Renfrew, the event saw players, volunteers, staff, sponsors, and supporters come together to reflect on a season filled with determination and development. Head Coach Ian Turley opened the evening with a moving speech, offering a personal review of the season. Turley expressed his deep appreciation for the players’ efforts, the invaluable contribution of the club’s volunteers, and the unwavering support from the coaching and managerial staff. His speech set the tone for a night that celebrated both collective and individual achievement.
The night began by recognising the unsung heroes of the club—our incredible volunteers—who received tokens of appreciation for their tireless dedication behind the scenes. Special thanks and acknowledgements were then extended to the managerial and coaching staff, including Ian Turley Sr., Rab Henderson, and Jason Barr, whose commitment has been instrumental in the team’s ongoing development.

As the club closes this chapter, a heartfelt thanks goes out to all players, coaches, volunteers, staff, supporters, and sponsors who stood by the team through every high and low. Special appreciation was also given to the Pirates’ younger generation—the U19 Lightning Pirates—who represent the future of the club.
“Everyone who wears the badge, supports from the stands, or works behind the scenes should feel enormous pride,” said a club spokesperson. “We move forward into the next season with a heart full of passion and pride, ready to continue building something truly special here at Paisley Pirates.”
The Paisley Pirates look forward to returning for the 2025/26 season, stronger and hungrier than ever.
