A new credit union will begin serving the public in Barrhead this week as Pollok Credit Union prepares to open its latest branch on Main Street.
The organisation has taken over the former Pioneer Mutual Credit Union premises, which have been empty since 2021. An official launch event was held last week, with East Renfrewshire Provost and council representatives in attendance.
From tomorrow, the new branch will welcome customers every Tuesday to Thursday between 10am and 3pm, with longer opening hours expected after Christmas.
Aidan Tyrrell from Pollok Credit Union said the team is confident there will be strong local interest.
