The No Substitute Men’s Group are hosting a community “Walk and Talk” event on Friday, 14th November at 7pm, giving local men a chance to get out, meet others, and talk openly about mental health.
The group will meet at the front of the Tannahill Centre in Ferguslie Park before heading off for a short walk around the area.
Organisers say the aim is to give men a safe, relaxed space to chat without pressure or judgement. The group welcomes anyone aged 16 and over to come along, get some fresh air, and enjoy some company.
A spokesperson said: “If you’re looking to get out and join us, please do — everyone is welcome. We’re all about giving men a safe place to talk about mental health and showing support for each other.”
The group runs regular weekly sessions promoting men’s wellbeing, and emphasises their key message — don’t man up, speak up — it’s okay not to be okay.
