Glasgow Airport is celebrating the launch of two new Wizz Air routes linking the city directly with Rome and Milan.

The first flights took off on Monday, 27th October, marking the start of regular services connecting Scotland with two of Italy’s most popular destinations.

The new routes will operate three times a week — on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays — offering passengers more choice for affordable short breaks and business travel.

Mark Beveridge, Managing Director at Glasgow Airport, said the partnership with Wizz Air continues to strengthen.

He said: “We are delighted to see Wizz Air’s new services to Rome and Milan take flight from Glasgow Airport. These exciting additions mark a significant milestone in our partnership and further enhance our connectivity to two of Europe’s most iconic cities.”

The new flights give travellers the chance to explore everything from the ancient streets and landmarks of Rome to the modern fashion and culture of Milan. Both destinations also provide convenient onward links across Italy and beyond.

Wizz Air will operate the routes using its Airbus A321neo aircraft, designed to deliver a more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly journey.

Tickets for the new services are available now at www.wizzair.com or via the airline’s mobile app.
