More than £82,000 worth of illegal drugs have been recovered in Paisley after a week of targeted enforcement by Police Scotland.

Last week, as part of the force’s seven days of proactive policing, officers attended a property in Caledonia Street on Friday, 14th November, where they uncovered a cannabis cultivation with a street value of £15,000. A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged and appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court on Monday, 17th November 2025.

On Tuesday, 18th November, officers stopped a moped being driven on Maxwellton Road. Cocaine with an estimated street value of £2,200 was recovered following a search. A 35-year-old man was arrested and charged, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The following day, Wednesday, 19th November, officers recovered heroin worth £15,000 after stopping a van on George Street. A 41-year-old man was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Thursday, 18th December 2025.

And finally, on Thursday, 20th November, officers attended an address on Glasgow Road and discovered a cannabis cultivation valued at £50,000. A 40-year-old man was arrested and charged and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court on Friday, 21st November 2025.

Inspector Lorna McLaren said: “This was a fantastic result for Paisley police over one week, removing £82,200 of drugs from the town.

“These recoveries mean fewer drugs on our streets, fewer vulnerable people being exploited and more opportunities to disrupt organised crime.
