A Paisley law firm has been congratulated by the Provost of Renfrewshire after winning a national award.
MJC LAW, based at Abbey Mill Business Centre, 12 Seedhill Road, Paisley, was named High Street Firm of the Year at The Herald Law Awards of Scotland 2025.
Following the award win, the firm met with Councillor Lorraine Cameron, Provost of Renfrewshire, at her office. A formal letter of congratulations was later sent to the firm.
In her letter dated 10th February 2026, the Provost wrote: “On behalf of Renfrewshire, it is my great pleasure to offer you my warmest congratulations on MJC Law being named High Street Firm of the Year at The Herald Law Awards of Scotland 2025.
“This is a tremendous achievement and one that speaks volumes about the professionalism, dedication and integrity that your team brings to your clients and to the wider community every day.”
The letter also stated: “High street firms like MJC Law are at the heart of our communities. You provide not only legal expertise, but reassurance, advocacy and trusted support to local people and families at some of the most important moments in their lives.”
Matthew Coffield, Owner and Director of MJC LAW, said: “We are honoured to have received a personal letter from the Provost of Renfrewshire, Provost Cameron congratulating our team on winning The Herald High Street Firm of the Year award. In her closing remarks, the Provost added: “Renfrewshire is proud to be home to organisations like MJC Law that demonstrate ambition, integrity and community spirit in equal measure. I wish you every continued success for the future.”
