Police have named the man who was stabbed to death in Paisley as James McFall.

Officers were called to Argyle Street around 3.30pm on Saturday afternoon and found 30-year-old James dead in a close.

Another man, 37-years-old, who has not been named, is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Police released a statement which said: “The 30 year old man who was found dead in Argyle Street, Paisley can now be named as James McFall.

“Police Scotland Major Investigation Teams continue to appeal for witnesses and information.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Paisley police station via 101.”
