A stolen car has crashed into a wall on Elderslie Main Road around midday today.

The driver of the car appeared to be unhurt but fled the scene on foot.

No one else was hurt.

A green Ford Focus, coming from the Johnstone direction was driving at high speed then hit a wall of a property on the Main Road, flipping the car on it’s roof.




Police Scotland’s Inspector Cassie Glass said: “There was an incident that happened at midday on Main Road.

“The man responsible is described as in his late twenties to early thirties wearing a light blue top and shorts.

“He has made of and is yet to be traced however he was last seen running in the direction of Paisley.

“Anyone with further information is asked to contact us on 101.”
