Polling stations have opened across Renfrewshire for the UK general election.There are 61 polling places containing 160 stations in Renfrewshire. The polls opened at 7am and close at 10pm.
In Paisley and Renfrewshire North the amount of people registered to vote is 67,436, with 61,344 in Paisley and Renfrewshire South.
Polling places include schools, community centres, churches, a bowling club, scout hall, hotel, sports pavilion, Tweedie Hall, Linwood,
and Renfrew Town Hall and Museum.
After the polls close, a total of 61 vans will collect 160 ballot boxes, There will also be 62 postal ballot boxes.
During the count, approximately 280 staff will be involved at the count.
A total of 650 Westminster MPs will be elected, with about 46.9 million people across the registered to vote.
