Police have arrested an 18-year-old teenager in connection with an alleged rape in Linwood.
A 16-year-old schoolgirl was allegedly attacked in Atholl Place in Linwood in the early hours of New Years Day.
Police confirm the accused has been released and is due to appear at Paisley Sheriff Court at a later date.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
