Police Scotland are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Renfrew.

Officers were called to reports of an injured man in the Ard Road area around 8.20pm on Friday, 11th August, 2023.

The 35-year-old was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

Following enquiries, officers are keen to trace another man seen in the area at the time. He’s described as white, 30-40 years old, around 6ft tall and either bald or has light blonde hair. He was wearing a navy and grey tracksuit top.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened, and those with dash cam or private CCTV footage of the area at the time, to come forward.

Police Scotland said: “Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3887 of 11 August. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
