Taylor Wimpey has made a donation of £2,500 to St Vincent’s Hospice in Howwood from their staff and charities committee.

The team at Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has also used its expertise to help with a refurbishment of the staff kitchen and washroom to provide better facilities for the team providing care at the hospice.

St. Vincent’s Hospice located in Howwood aims to provide access to the best possible care and support to everyone living with a life-limiting illness in Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire.

The Hospice has an 8-bed Inpatient Unit with a multi-disciplinary team to offer the best care that it can; a Day Hospice Service provides support with symptom management, Community Nurse Specialists to provide care and support at home, and it provides a range of supportive services to

The generous donation of £2,500 will go towards the vital funds needed to allow us to provide meaningful, specialist care to our patients and families when they need it the most.”

Throughout the year, staff hold various fundraising events to allow them to make donations to a wide range of charities that are important to them. David Blair, Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey West Scotland adds: “We have been supporting St Vincent’s Hospice for many years now, and we continue to be very proud of the way our staff come together to show their support of this incredible charity.

“As well as our donation of £2,500 our team has stepped in to help the hospice with a much-needed refurbishment of its staff kitchen and washroom which we know will be of great benefit to the staff providing around-the-clock care at the hospice. Being able to work with local groups and charities is so important to us.”
