Men over 40 are being offered free prostate cancer screening as part of a new early detection campaign.

The Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative will host drop-in events in Renfrewshire at the end of March.

The screenings are simple blood tests (PSA tests) and are free to attend, with no cost to participants.

The first event will take place on Saturday 28th March 2026 at the Donald Malcolm Heritage Centre in Linwood (PA3 3BU), running from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

A further event is scheduled for Sunday 29th March 2026 at Hunterhill Community Centre in Paisley.

The initiative says the project aims to improve early detection of prostate cancer, highlighting that early diagnosis can significantly improve outcomes.

Organisers are encouraging men aged over 40 to attend, particularly those who may not have previously been tested.

Appointments can be booked online via the Scottish Prostate Cancer Initiative website, here: https://spci.mypsatests.org.uk/events/.

Some spaces may also be available on the day depending on demand.
