George Adam has been re-elected as MSP for Paisley after holding the constituency for the SNP in the 2026 Scottish Parliament election.

The SNP candidate secured 13,164 votes, representing 42.6% of the vote.

Labour’s Neil Bibby finished second with 10,136 votes, while Reform UK’s Alec Leishman placed third after securing 4,620 votes.

Mr Adam’s majority over Labour was 3,028 votes.

The result means the SNP retains the Paisley seat despite a 7.4% drop in vote share compared to the previous constituency boundaries.

Turnout in the constituency was 50.5%, with 31,013 votes cast.
