Braehead is inviting families to enjoy a summer packed with free activities, creative events and family-friendly days out, including Scotland World Cup-themed arts and crafts sessions.
The summer programme begins on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th June with free arts and crafts activities, including flag-making inspired by Scotland’s World Cup campaign.
Families can drop in throughout the day to create their own Scotland flags and get behind the national team ahead of the tournament. The sessions are designed to give children a chance to get creative while enjoying the football excitement.
From Thursday 18th June, visitors can also take part in Braehead’s Summer of Fun Trail. Five sculptures will be hidden around the shopping centre, each containing a clue. Families must find all five, uncover a secret word and submit their completed trail card for the chance to win £100 to spend at a Braehead store of their choice.
The centre is also taking part in the Scotties in the City public art trail, which is being held across Glasgow this summer in support of Maggie’s. From 18th June, visitors will be able to spot Braehead’s own Scottie sculpture and take part in the wider city-wide trail.
Alongside the summer activities, visitors can enjoy more than 100 stores, restaurants and cafés throughout the centre.
A spokesperson for Braehead said: “Whether it’s taking on the Summer of Fun Trail, spotting Braehead’s Scottie sculptures, hunting for holiday essentials or simply enjoying a few hours with family and friends, there’s plenty to discover throughout the holidays.
“And with more free family activities still to be announced, there will be even more reasons to come back and see what’s happening next.”
