Renfrew FC have successfully appealed the straight red card shown to Kieran Healy during Wednesday night’s 4-1 defeat to Pollok.
Healy was sent off in the 55th minute at New Western Park, leaving Renfrew to play the remainder of their second Scottish Lowland League West match with 10 men.
The club confirmed the decision has now been overturned after video evidence was submitted as part of the appeal.
Renfrew said the footage used was taken from Pollok’s YouTube channel.
The successful appeal means Healy will be available for Renfrew’s trip to Broadwood Stadium tomorrow, where they will face Cumbernauld Colts for the first time in a competitive fixture.
Renfrew said: “We’ve successfully appealed Kieran Healys straight red card from Wednesdays game against Pollok, after submitting video evidence taken from our opponents YouTube channel.
“Kieran will now be available for tomorrow’s trip to Broadwood stadium and a first competitive fixture against Cumbernauld Colts.”
Renfrew head into the match looking for their first points of the new Scottish Lowland League West season after defeats against Kilwinning Rangers and Pollok in their opening two fixtures.
