The latest edition of Renfrewshire Leisure’s What’s On Guide for the summer has been published.
There are a wide variety of plays, concerts, exhibitions, film and family events for people to enjoy locally.
Paisley actor Sita Pieraccini brings her one-woman performance in the play, Make A Hoo to Paisley Arts Centre, on Saturday 6th May 2017.
Written by Sita, the play was inspired by the time she spent on an artist residency in Sri Lanka and tells the story of a day and night in the life of a woman in that country.
Piping fans can have a blow-out when one of the finest exponents of the Highland bagpipe, Scottish smallpipes, Irish uilleann pipes and the whistle, Fred Morrison performs at Paisley Arts Centre, on Thursday 11th May 2017.
Fred has been described as the “Jimi Hendrix of the pipes” due to his expertise in traditional music styles and also his playing, which is influenced by music from around the world.
Celtic fans can relive the glory of their team winning the European Cup in 1967 with the play, Lions of Lisbon, which is at Paisley Town Hall, on Saturday, May 13.
The show features a full cast of ten, plus live band, recreating the humour, passion and occasional calamity that accompanied Celtic showing Europe’s finest how the beautiful game should be played.
These are just some of the varied cultural events and activities going on in Renfrewshire over the next few months.
