Police have released an image of a woman they wish to speak in connection with an assault on another woman on board a bus in Paisley in June.

A woman boarded a McGills bus in Smithhills Street, Paisley but as she made her way to sit down she was verbally abused by another passenger before being assaulted.

Officers have released an image of a woman who may have information that could assist with the investigation.

The woman is described as small, heavier build, with shoulder length blonde hair and black glasses. She was wearing a grey vest top, three quarter length blue jeans and white trainers.

The incident happened at around 6.50pm on Monday, 25th June 2018.

Constable Allan Boyle of Paisley Police Station, said: “This was a disgraceful assault on a woman and I am appealing to anyone who either witnessed what happened, or recognises the women we wish to speak with, to please get in touch.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Paisley Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 3846 of Monday 25 June 2018. Alternatively you can call CRIMESTOPPERS on 0800 555 111 where details can be given in confidence.”
